The one thing we all fear when our kids go back to school is the infestation of head lice. I know as a mom of four children I am paranoid about receiving that phone call or getting a paper sent home with the kids that a child in their school has a case of head lice. With that said, it is time to guard our children against head lice with Lice Shield! I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to review these products. Having head lice does not mean you are dirty or that you live in a dirty environment. Head lice thrives on clean hair and anyone can get it if they are exposed to someone that has head lice.

shampoo

Lice Shield shampoo repels head lice. Lice Shield is not a treatment but can be used as a preventative measure. The best time to use Lice Shield is when you believe your children or family has been exposed to head lice or if your child comes home with a note from school warning of a possible infestation. Lice Shield contains natural essential oil extracts of Citronella, Geraniol, Rosemary and Lemongrass. Lice Shield shampoo is gentle enough for everyday use.

The best way to treat head lice is not get it; therefore; using Lice Shield Gear Guard on your scarves, hats, helmets, or any other object that would encounter lice is a great preventative. I plan on using this on my children’s jackets and other clothing when they go to school.

leavein

Lice Shield leave in spray will condition and detangle your hair as well as repels head lice. In addition, you can spray this on sports gear, hats and other objects as well. After your hair is washed spray this on all over your towel-dried hair, and allow to dry. I have used this on my 7 year olds hair because she gets a fair amount of tangles. My daughter was not fond of the scent but it seemed to detangle her hair well. I honestly did not find that it had a bad odor. I will continue to use this on my children’s hair when they start school.

You can find Lice Shield nationwide at many food, drug, and mass chains such as Walgreens, Meijer, Walmart, CVS, and more. for a complete list visit Lice Shield. You can find information about Lice Shield on their website here.

lol the word lice makes my head it! I didn't know they made something to help repel the little buggers I think I will have to pick some up for peace of mind, since it is illegal for them to send kids home that have lice now :/

Eeeew! I use to fear getting these! I can remember going to camp and getting treated to make sure we didn't get lice. Those shampoo treatments smelled horrible, burned and left my hair dried out and tangled. These sound like a much better alternative! I have seen kids with lice, and it is not something I would wish on anyone! I love that they offer a shampoo, spray/leave in treatment and a spray for clothing articles! Great product!

  3. These sounds like a great product to use when you get head lice. I once had a lice when I was a kid and it itch like crazy, I wish we have this back then.

You can use as a preventative but do not get mistaken this is not a treatment. If someone has been near you then you can use this to repel it.

We always cringed on head check day when my oldest was in elementary school. It is so hard once one gets it and no fun for clean up. I keep this stuff on hand just in case.

    Time to be prepared!
Definitively keep in mind having lice is not the same as being unclean. Peaty critters deserve a line like this one

This is fantastic, it's not because I have lice, but this could be a great shampoo to send in my family…

This is very helpful. I am glad that there are products like this. I need to secure and buy some head lice products for my daughter. She never had any lice but it will be nice to have this just in case.
