I received the Fellowes Laptop Riser and Document Lift for review. I never have my laptop at an angle as I always lay it flat on my desk. During the daytime, I let my kid’s use my desk and I move my laptop into the kitchen and sit on a stool. Over time the way my arm has to rest on the counter to be able to type I slowly began to lose feeling in my pinky finger and the left side of my hand. I found out that I have compressed my nerve due to leaning my arm on the counter. I read that if it did not come back to functionality that I could possibly need surgery to fix the issue. With that said, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to try the Fellowes Laptop Riser.

The I-Spire Laptop Riser is designed to elevate your laptop to relieve neck strain and shoulder tension. In addition, having your laptop elevated allows airflow to your laptop, which in turn will keep your laptop cooler. The tabs in the front of the laptop riser will keep your laptop secure. Supports laptops up to 17” No tools required for assembly. Look for coordinating I-Spire Series products from Fellowes. Stand Type: Laptop Width: 13.25 Depth: 9.38 Maximum Height: 4.25.

Since using this product, the feeling in my hand has come back. For a long time I was worried that I would need surgery but now I know I need to keep using this laptop riser as it helps keep my arms from pushing down on the counter. At first, it felt awkward using the laptop riser but overtime I got used to it and like it a lot more! My laptop is a lot cooler and my neck does not feel as strained. You can purchase this at

The Fellowes I-Spire Series Document Lift is a innovated 3-in-1 design. With this Document lift you are able to use it as a dry erase, document holder, and clipboard. The copy clip holds up to 15 sheets of letter sized paper. You can use this for making quick notes to remind you what you need to be doing the next day or appointments you have scheduled. With the document holder, this allows you to place documents more comfortably and reducing eye, neck and shoulder strain.

I love having a document holder as I never had one before. I have found it makes it easier to remember what things are due for reviews and when I need to get them done. I always relied on my memory but I find it easier if I have it written down so I can see it. You can find this product at

These Fellows products look very well made, and comfort is huge being on computers so much. I also have trouble with my hands and I think like you say, the riser is the answer.

  2. Mellissa Hanks says:

Those look very handy to have, I know right now I have my laptop…well on my lap, but it isn't really good for the laptop.

  3. Gregg says:

Personally, the I-Spire Laptop Riser is just what I need when at off-site clients' locations to stop the kinks in my neck. My home office has two elevated larger monitors on about 10 hard copy books to get them at eye level.

With the onset of cell phone usage the issue with constantly looking down will be a chiropractors dream.
