One of the things I can never have enough of is cosmetics. I truly am a beauty junkie at heart. I do not wear it every day but I need to keep my supply up for when I do want to wear it. Sometimes I just randomly pull out my cosmetics and play around with different colors and create different looks. When I received a wonderful opportunity to review for rae Cosmetics I was super excited.
Who is Behind rae Cosmetics?
Rochelle Rae is CEO and creator of Rae Cosmetics. She has a degree in Fine Arts and attended the prestigious Makeup Designory in Hollywood California.
Rochelle became frustrated with the heavy makeup prevalent in the market and the seemingly endless trips to the mirror to reapply. Her active lifestyle, as well as that of her clients, called for a longer lasting, more natural approach to cosmetics. This inspired her to create a cosmetics line designed for real life and the active women who live it.
After two years of research, design and careful attention to every detail, Rochelle introduced Rae Cosmetics, a fresh and versatile mineral makeup line designed for active women and athletes looking for performance as well as beauty from their cosmetics.
I received this stunning palette that has the perfect colors for a smokey eye. Their Smokin’ eye set includes colors Sea Shell, Stormy, and Hurricane. When I opened the package and took out the palette I immediately was drawn to the gorgeous packaging. This palette is encased in a dark grey shiny case. When you open the palette is has a nice size mirror and cosmetic brush that I found to work really well. I love that they do not give you those chincey makeup brushes with the diamond shaped foam head on the end. I never found those to work and I feel that you cannot get good results unless you are using a decent brush.
Application is smooth and I found the colors to be nicely pigmented. I did use eye primer to keep my eyeshadow on longer. To enhance my eyes and widen them up more I used the second color of the palette under my eyes. In addition, I used the first color in the corners of my eyes. If you use dark colors in the corners it will make your eyes appear smaller and more closed. Always use a lighter color in the corners.
At rae Cosmetics you can find an array of palettes available. In addition, you can make customized palettes with their large assortment of colors. A nice feature of this palette is that the color tins pop out and once you run out of your favorite colors you can purchase them again and put them in. If you run out of one color you can purchase the one you need and place it right in the case. All rae Cosmetic palettes have this great feature. Check them out today!
