I had the wonderful opportunity to review Smashbox new Full Exposure Palette. I cannot say enough how much I love this palette. If you are a big fan of Smashbox or never heard of them before, you need to check this Full Exposure palette out. The Full Exposure Palette comes with a chart that shows what kind of shades and where you should apply them based on the shape of your eyes. It reminded me of the paint by numbers which I thought was a cute idea. In addition, this set comes with Full Exposure Mascara that will provide volume and fullness.
The Full Exposure Palette comes in 14 radiant neutral colors. One row of long lasting shimmer and the other silky smooth matte. This set has beautiful neutral shades to complete a neutral look for the summer or a night out in the town. I usually am into more bright colors that give me a bold look; however, I wanted to try something new and different to see how I liked it, and I have to say I really love the look and this palette. The cosmetic brush that is provided with the palette is double sided. One side is for shimmer and one side for matte. I think the brush is decent unlike some brushes I have received with palettes before.
I created this look using Rich Grey with Multicolor and Silver Pearl, which is the top row first one on the right of the shimmer row. Remember when using the shimmer side to apply pressing down and not sweeping across the eye. Doing this will cut down on the shimmer going all over your face. If you do get some shimmer on your face just use a fan brush and that helps eliminate excess eyeshadow. I found this eyeshadow to glide on extremely smooth. I loved the smooth finish look that it gave me and it did not crease at all. It is very pigmented and I did not need to keep applying layer after layer. In addition, this eyeshadow lasted on my eyes a long time without having to re-apply.
Colors from left to right of the matte colors are:
- Suede Black
- Ashy Dark Brown
- Soft Light Taupe
- Creamy Matte Beige
- Soft Matte Midtone Tan
- Matte Midtone Brown
- Matte Warm Chocolate Brown
I wanted to create a neutral look to see how it would look. Like I said before, neutrals were not something I thought of wearing but I really like it and think I will be wearing them more. I used Soft Matte Midtone Tan all over my eyelid and then used Ashy Dark Brown for my crease. I finished my look using Ofra Cosmetics Gel eyeliner and Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara to provide my lashes with length and fullness.
The Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara will provide fullness and volume. Apply one coat starting at the base of your lashes and sweeping up and out, then apply a second coat for added fullness. I tend to apply 3-4 coats for additional fullness and volume. I like how this mascara does not clump on my eyes. in addition, it is long lasting and will not dry out quickly like some mascara’s.
