My husband and I never get to have a date night. This past Friday we decided to head to our local Olive Garden as they are having Alfredo Fest. I love Alfredo and enjoy eating it much more at a restaurant. This has been our second time since having our children that we were able to go out to eat ourselves and this was just the perfect timing.
When we arrived, we noticed they had a nice area if you want to sit outside. We love enjoying the outside fresh air, however, in Florida right now it is too hot to do that right now. We decided to sit inside to stay cool.
If you have not read my other post about Alfredo Fest at Olive Garden I will tell you all about it. Olive Garden is celebrating a limited-time 3-Course Alfredo Fest. Right now, guests can enjoy a 3-course Italian meal that includes their choice of entrée and dessert along with unlimited breadsticks and the choice of soup or salad, super deal for only $11.99!
The Olive Garden salad arrived with our breadsticks and if you never experienced Olive Garden salad then you need to! I love their salads as it has the perfect balance of spiral cut onions, tomatoes, lettuce, thick cut croutons and you have a choice to add cheese to give it a finishing touch. We had ours with Ranch dressing and I wish I had a stomach that never got full so that I could eat more!
My husband ordered the Grilled Chicken with Broccoli Alfredo. My husband said it was awesome. The creaminess of the Alfredo sauce was perfect and the broccoli was firm and not mushy. The corkscrew pasta was a lovely touch to the dish and cooked to perfection.
I chose the Mezzaluna Ravioli with Mushroom Alfredo. The crescent shaped ravioli were delicious! The Alfredo was creamy and the mushrooms gave it a nice earthy flavor. In addition, it was topped with a breadcrumb mixture that gave it the perfect balance of saltiness.
For dessert I had the choice of Chocolate Mousse Cake or one of 5 flavors mini-Dolcini. I decided on Limoncello Mousse Docini. The Dolcini was the perfect size after a huge meal. The lemon flavor was not overpowering nor was it too sweet which I would not have minded because I love lemon. The cake on the bottom was moist and the mousse had a nice sweet creamy texture and taste. The other flavors available for the Dolcini is Dark Chocolate with Caramel, Amaretto Tiramisu, Chocolate Mousse, and Strawberry and White Chocolate.
My husband chose the Chocolate Mousse Cake. I had to steal a bite because I love chocolate. The cake was extremely moist and one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. The mousse had a light creamy texture and on top it had crispy chocolate beads. I could have eaten his entire cake after taking one bite!
You can order online from Olive Garden’s to go menu and pick the date and time for pick up. This makes it super easy if you do not want to go in to place your order or do not want to sit in a restaurant.
