Cascade Platinum is one of the newest products in the Cascade line. I had an opportunity to host a party to show everyone how this product works. You will be amazed at the results!
SKIP THE PRE-WASH!!
Cascade Platinum works best when food soil is left on the dishes because it’s special enzymes latch onto that food, breaking it down so it can wash away. If there is no food soil, there is nothing for the enzymes to attach to and your detergent is not working its hardest for you.
When the guests arrived we talked a bit about what the party was all about. They were very intrigued to see Cascade in action. I made brownies the night before and left the dish to sit overnight for 24 hours so that my guests can see how well Cascade works.
First we had Macaroni and cheese courtesy of the Pioneer Women. Her recipe is simply delish and I will post that for you below! You need to try it! I normally make mine different but was so happy to try a different recipe. I left the pan all gunked up from the macaroni and cheese so my guests could see it get clean from the power of Cascade.
Recipe Mac n’ Cheese (courtesy of The Pioneer Woman)
- Ingredients
- 4 cups Dried Macaroni
- 1 whole Egg Beaten
- 1/4 cup (1/2 Stick Or 4 Tablespoons) Butter
- 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
- 2-1/2 cups Whole Milk
- 2 teaspoons (heaping) Dry Mustard, More If Desired
- 1 pound Cheese, Grated 1/2 teaspoon Salt, More To Taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Seasoned Salt, More To Taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- Optional Spices: Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Thyme
Directions Cook macaroni until very firm. Macaroni should be too firm to eat right out of the pot. Drain.
In a small bowl, beat egg. In a large pot, melt butter and sprinkle in flour. Whisk together over medium-low heat. Cook mixture for five minutes, whisking constantly. Don’t let it burn. Pour in milk, add mustard, and whisk until smooth. Cook for five minutes until very thick.
Reduce heat to low. Take 1/4 cup of the sauce and slowly pour it into beaten egg, whisking constantly to avoid cooking eggs. Whisk together till smooth.
Pour egg mixture into sauce, whisking constantly. Stir until smooth. Add in cheese and stir to melt. Add salt and pepper. Taste sauce and add more salt and seasoned salt as needed! Pour in drained, cooked macaroni and stir to combine.
Serve immediately (very creamy
After we had brownies and while we were eating the brownies I showed them the pan that has been sitting for 24 hours. We put the dish in the dishwasher and let it do its thing.
After the cycle was done out came a spotless dish! I told my guests Do not worry about food left on the dishes damaging your machine or pipes. There is a garbage disposal built into the bottom of almost all dishwashers that works exactly like the disposal in your sink. in addition, Cascade Platinum delivers Cascade’s ultimate clean for dishes. It is a premium product designed to achieve a clean so powerful it helps to keep the dishwasher sparkling while also delivering immaculately clean dishes each and every time. It even works on 24-hour stuck-on food!
I also told my guests in lieu of any pre-washing, simply toss the large bits of food into the trash or garbage disposal and then stop there. No need to run anything under water. Just load into the dishwasher.
My friend could not be more impressed with the product and how the dishes came out. She wanted to show everyone what she thought when we opened my dishwasher.
My friends son got into my Cascade box and wanted to show the love of Cascade that he has. He is officially the Cascade man!
Follow these tips for loading your dishwasher with success.
- Stack your dishes high and low but please be sure that bulky items DO NOT block the sprayer.
- Place tall dishes and pans in the back of the bottom rack so they DO NOT block the detergent chamber.
- Place glasses and other fragile items in the top rack. This helps keep them from the powerful sprayer under the bottom rack.
- Set glasses between tines on the rack NOT over them as wet contact points can cause spots.
- Thread any long utensils through coffee-mug handles to help keep them secure in the wash.
- Check to ensure that there aren’t any stray utensils that will block the nozzle or sprayer.
- And a special call out for any big dishes: load them on the bottom rack, face down so the water is sure to reach all the nooks and crannies.

I have used Cascade for years and love the product! It's the only thing that gets off baked on cheese, dried egg or stuck on caramel from my dishes.
I have used Cascade in the past & I'd like to see if the formula has improved since I last used it in my dishwasher.
I often buy Cascade, it's my preferred brand. The regular stuff is pretty great. I'll have to try this Platinum type.
i love cascade products – havent tried platinum before but i bet its great
I never thought about threading long utensils through coffee-mug handles to help keep them secure in the wash. What a great idea.

This is awesome! I am actually waiting on my new dishwasher to arrive. I have been hand washing for weeks, and it gets so tiring. I can't wait to use Cascade Platinum and I won't even have to pre-rinse anymore!
I learned on their website to clean and rinse glassware using the dish liquid and the hottest water possible.
I love Cascade! This is sweeeeeeeet!
