In my previous post I have mentioned new items that have arrived at Olive Garden. My husband and I do not get to go out to dinner alone all that often and since Olive Garden has a few new things to try we decided to head on over for dinner. My husband and I have been to Olive Garden a few times and each time we go we have a pleasant experience along with good food. I could not wait to try some of the new items. I wanted to try the new flatbread items, but because of some acid reflux problems I decided to try a couple of their other new items. As always, we started out with their awesome breadsticks and their amazing salad.

After our salad I received my Artichoke Fritti.  The Artichoke Fritti is lightly battered and fried with a citrus aioli dipping sauce.

At first I dipped the artichoke in the aioli dipping sauce and noticed it had a slight tang and I was not sure I liked it or not. I decided to try it without the dipping sauce and noticed the artichoke still had a tang, but not as enhanced if I had used the sauce. I did enjoy it and my husband liked it as well.

chicken sorrentoI am not a huge fan of chicken, but I really liked the sound of this dish and I wanted to give it a whirl. The Citrus Chicken Sorrento has tender, grilled chicken breasts in a citrus honey glaze. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful of a dish this was. The chicken was very tender and juicy. In addition, the honey glaze sauce was not over-powered and it was balanced perfectly with sweet and citrus flavor. The vegetables had a nice crunch and sweet and citrus blended through them. My husband and I had the same dish and both of us enjoyed it a lot. After our dinner we decided to not get dessert as we were both so full that we could not even think about eating anything else. The portion sizes were generous and you will not walk out of there hungry
