Every year for as long as I can remember, my children have been a fan of the W2K series. Every Christmas I buy the new W2K game and we play for hours. This year we had the chance to try W2K16 and it is better than ever. With the largest roster ever, you can use and play over 120 different characters including Seth Rollins, Diva Paige, Undertaker, The Rock, and many many more. Since last year’s game, there have been improved controls, a new reversal system, new pin system and chain wrestling improvements. Players can enjoy an action-packed story-based mode letting gamers relive more than 25 iconic moments in Stone Cold Steve Austin’s career, including matches with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and The Rock. Along the way the player can view video packages featuring classic WWE footage and complete objectives to unlock legendary characters, entrance and ring gear, match types and other cool unlockable gear.

WWE 2K16 has a lot of cool features like the Creation Suite where you can Create-a-Diva, Create-a-Championship, Create-an-Arena, and Create-a-show. With the new WWE 2K16 Creation Studio App, you can create Divas and Superstars with unique faces, tattoos, arena decals, and more.

With the career-mode player can make critical choices in their journey to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. Through a series of objectives you can rise through different ranks, compete to earn a spot on the main roster. A cool part of the career mode where you can conduct a personality-driven interview, talk with rivals, make tag teams or even create alliances. Along with the career mode, there is also and online mode, where the matchmaking system is no more. There is now a prestige system where the game trackers your progress and results from past matches. You can play online with friends, and compete in daily events and such.

This game has tons of features and a lot of downloadable content. With the career mode, and story, and online mode you won’t be bored. The graphics are great and there’s so much to do. The Creation Suite is such a cool feature where you can not only creature your own arena, and show you can create divas and superstars and more! Customize it to how you like it.

Work your way through quests and objectives and compete against opponents to earn your way to the WWE Hall Of Fame.

You can find this on consoles Ps3, Ps4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and digital download on Amazon and in local stores nationwide.

I'm not into video games or wrestling, but I'm sure this would be something that others would most definitely be interested in. I remember when video games were solely Atari…I like to call those the good old days. I guess I am aging myself, huh? Will share this info with my nephews who love video games and wrestling.

  2. Cara (@StylishGeek) says:

I don't play video games but almost all my guy friends do! I'll make sure to add the PS4 W2K series series to my holiday gifting list. I am sure one of them will be ecstatic to receive that from me! Thanks for sharing!

I am not into wrestling or these kind of video games, but I know some kids who would love this.

It has been such a long time since I played anything like this, but it looks like the roster and graphics have come a very long way! I can't believe the way that storylines and personalities have developed in these games. The depth and breadth of the stories are just getting better and better with each passing year and each game platform update.

I used to watch WW wrestling with my grandmother when I was a kid. She loved her WW boys so much! This was back so long ago though. It is such a huge fan fair these days. My son never really got into wrestling, but my nephew is nuts about it.

  6. Angie says:

Ha, I've never even heard of this before. On another note, I really think the cute little falling snowflakes on your blog are adorable-I could totally just sit here and watch them.

  7. Myrabev says:

I love wrestling and try to watch it as much as I can but I do not play video games and though my brother does wrestling doesn't really interest him at all. I know a few friends who would love to get this as a christmas present.

  8. Susan Quackenbush says:

My son is really into video games and says WWE is a great title to have! He recently upgraded to a PS4 so maybe this would make for a great stocking stuffer. Thank you for sharing! 🙂

  9. Chelsie Carr says:

I got my husband an Xbox One for Christmas and had no idea what games to get to go with it! Thanks for this review, this was really helpful for me to know what kinds of games are out there for this console and what to look for!

This is one game we actually haven't tried yet – I'm not sure why but I may need to add it to my Hubby and Teenager's list this year. Looks like a really great game!
