Many students see college as their last chance to dress comfortably every day before they have to get a job in the real world, unless they are lucky enough to get a job with a super cool company like Facebook or Google. However, although it’s perfectly fine to be comfy on campus or at home if you’re studying for an online masters in business administration, there’s a fine line between dressing comfortably and looking sloppy. We’ve put together some of the best items to wear at college that you’ll be comfortable in, whilst looking smart.
Your years at college are probably the only time that you’ll be able to get away with wearing a sweatshirt that has your college name or a college sports team emblazoned across the chest every day without anybody batting an eyelid, so you may as well take advantage of it. College hoodies are practical, comfortable, and usually available in every color under the sun, so you can even have a collection if you wanted. But, perhaps you’ll also want to invest in some business clothing if you’re studying for an AACSB online MBA.
For girls at college, jeggings are the perfect items of clothing – these stretchy jeans leave plenty of room for constantly snacking during a full-day study session in the library and won’t dig in when you’re leaning over your desk writing. Comfortable enough to wear to bed, jeggings look like regular jeans, but if you’ve got a good pair, they’ll feel just like wearing soft yoga pants, even after you’ve washed them a few times.
T-Shirts and Polo Shirts
If you’re packing your suitcase to move to college, filling it with polo shirts and t-shirts is a wise idea. Versatile and practical, taking a good selection of ‘basics’ with you to college will ensure that you can create a range of different outfits and not have to blow your student budget on new clothes. Opt for clothes that don’t require a lot of maintenance and can easily be worn again and again, dressed up or dressed down.
College students are forever grateful that wearing sneakers with every outfit is slowly becoming a fashion trend. Not only are sneakers comfortable to walk in, they’re also safer for your feet than many other types of shoes and the closed-foot design offers protection from the elements and falling objects. And, wearing sneakers everywhere means that if you’re visiting the gym after class, you won’t need to carry the extra bulk.
Oversized jumpers, cardigans and shirts are great for students as they’re practical, comfortable, don’t pinch or rub and can be worn almost anywhere around campus. They’re especially great in winter, when you can layer up different items of clothing to make sure that you’re snug and warm on your way to and from class.
