Dodge once again has upped the mark with the Dodge SRT Challenger. This provides a more authentic heritage inspired options for the vehicle providing aesthetically pleasurable changes on top of the already dynamic powerplant, transmission, and traction system.
Inspired by the 1971 Dodge Shakedown Challenger concept, this vehicle provides white-face gauges in the instrument cluster and exclusive asymmetrical black racing strips on the exterior of the vehicle. The exterior colors including the B5 Blue and Plum Crazy are available on all charger models including the late models. This color was made famous by Dodge collectors in the late 60’s and early 70’s and are often highly looked for as highly desirable. You can also find this color on the 2018 models of the Chargers. Also, the sound system gets kicked up by a brand new Alpine audio system for the renewed Shaker editions.
The Challenger R/T and R/T Plus shaker are going to be powered by the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine. This provides a stock 375 horsepower max and is matched with a six-speed manual transmission. There is an option for a paddle-shifting TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. For those who wish for the 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker, a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 that provides an astounding 485 horsepower from the naturally aspirated engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Again, the TorqueFlite eight-speed paddle shifting transmission is also available.
