The new edition of the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica has been announced to the public and is coming to a dealership near you. Last year, the Pacifica has won a numerous amount of awards from different magazines and award agencies. This year consists of six models with a standard engine and three models of the hybrid lineup. With all of these features, nearly everyone should be able to find one with the features they desire.
Starting with the features of the Hybrid models, this is the first hybrid minivan that can produce a fuel efficiency rating of 84 MPGe in the city. This is thanks to the FCA US-designed dual-motor eFlite electronic variable transmission (EVT). The electronic motor provides 33 miles solely on the zero-emissions electric power from a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. This combined with the combustion engine provides a total fuel range of 566 miles. The standard combustion engine models provide a Pentastar V-6 engine that is paired with a TorqueFlite nine-speed transmission. This delivers 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft of torque.
The Chrysler Pacifica was re-engineered this year to provide an excellent driving experience that is also quieter than previous years. The body structure was made stronger, but lighter. This will help make the vehicle more responsive while providing less body roll. This also increases the ability to absorb and distribute the road inputs to the driver. Safety features are in no short order either as it carries over 100 standard and available features. This can include a 360-degree surround view camera, ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular park assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Forward Collision Warnings.
