Dodge has announced the 2019 edition of it’s most affordable third-row crossover. The seven-passenger seating is standard, but you get a choice of engines and front or all-wheel drive to select. Also, there is an excellent selection of the Uconnect infotainment systems available in this year’s edition.
There are several new things that are coming to the 2019 Dodge Journey. The first is that there are now only three models, the SE, Crossroad, and GT. This simplified offering will provide you with a better value and performance across the lineup. SE models will be available with a 3.6-liter V-6 and are less expensive than the previous years model by over $2,000. The SE models offer an additional Blacktop Appearance Package with optional 19-inch Gloss Black wheels. Also, there is a new color available known as Destroyer Gray.
The available All Wheel Drive (AWD) on the Journey is an on demand system that only provides power to all tires when it feels slipping in the differential. This allows for a higher fuel efficiency without sacrificing stability and traction. While we have already mentioned the V-6 engine, the four-cylinder is a 2.4-liter 16-valve DOHC that produces 173 horsepower and 165 lb.-ft of torque.
The Uconnect system provides the largest in the class 8.4-inch touchscreen with standard keyless entry. Also, a push-button start button is available with heated steering wheels. Dodge is attempting to provide the family with a bunch of high-tech features at a price that is still affordable. The Uconnect system allows for navigation, voice-command music selections, and the availability to check fuel prices in the area.
