As we close out 2019 and ring in 2020 we often come up with new year resolutions for ourselves. Some of us want to lose weight, eat healthier, quit smoking etc.. Why not have resolutions for our vehicles? Our cars are one of our most prized possessions that we have and should be taken care of so we can have it with us for a long time.
Keep fluids topped off
Periodically check the fluids to make sure they are topped off. Not having enough fluids can burn out your vehicle quick and make it run horrible.
Check air pressure regularly
Most cars will alert you when you are low on air pressure, but it is always good to keep an air pressure tool in your vehicle to check it. Not having proper air inflation can lead to uneven wear on your tires and can also cause an accident.
Keep the inside of your car clean
Have you ever driven down the road and feel things roll near the gas peddle? Don’t let that be a cause of a big accident. Buy a small trash receptical for your vehicle to keep it tidy.
Recondition your headlights.
You can pick up a kit at your local store. Make sure you follow the directions so you do not damage your headlights. Your headlights will look brand new and give you better night vision.
Get oil change regularly
Changing your oil is imperative to keeping your car in tip top shape. You will get better gas mileage and your car will thank you for it later with performance. Don’t neglect it or it will let you know by running lousy.
It has been proven that buckling up reduces deaths in car accidents. Don’t drive off without making sure everyone is wearing a seat belt.
Trade in your old vehicle.
Your old car has lots of miles and January is the perfect time to buy a newer car. With dealerships getting their new inventory and going out with their older models, you can be sure to score a good deal. Professionals such as those at Central Avenue Hyundai would be able to help you with any questions you have with trading in or purchasing a new vehicle.
